These terms apply to hottesttable.com and The Hottest Table newsletter. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who runs the site

The Hottest Table is published by an independent publisher based in India. Contact: hello@hottesttable.com. We will give our legal name and postal address to anyone who asks.

Check before you go

Restaurant details change often, and sometimes without notice. Opening dates, opening hours, prices, menus, booking availability, dress codes and whether a restaurant is open at all can all change after we publish. We check the restaurants on each chart regularly, as explained in How we pick, but we can't guarantee that every detail is current. Please check directly with the restaurant before you travel, book or pay, especially if you have allergies, dietary requirements or accessibility needs.

Rankings are editorial

The Hot 20 and our other lists are editorial content. They reflect our judgment, made by following a published method, about which new restaurants are attracting attention. They are not a review of food quality, safety, hygiene or service, and they are not a recommendation that any restaurant is right for you.

Not affiliated with the restaurants

We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the restaurants we list, unless we say so on the page. Restaurant names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. A link to a restaurant's website or booking page does not mean the restaurant endorses us, or that we endorse it.

The site is free to read, and we plan to fund it with advertising and other commercial arrangements. When we use affiliate links, or publish advertising or sponsored content, we label it. If a restaurant gives us a free meal or another benefit, we say so where we write about it. An advertisement is not a recommendation from us. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or for products and services sold by advertisers or other third parties.

Bookings and other websites

The Hottest Table is not a booking service. When you follow a link to book, you deal directly with the restaurant or the booking service, under their terms. We are not responsible for other websites we link to, or for anything you arrange with a restaurant or booking service.

Accuracy

We take reasonable care over what we publish, but we don't guarantee that the site is complete, accurate or up to date. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or the newsletter. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Using the site

You may use the site and the newsletter for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy the charts or listings in bulk, scrape the site automatically, or interfere with how it works.

Content

The site's text, charts, design and code belong to the publisher of The Hottest Table, or are used with permission. Photos we didn't take belong to the photographers or restaurants credited, and are used with their permission or under the terms stated. Please don't reuse them without the owner's permission.

Availability

We try to keep the site available but can't promise it always will be. We may change or remove any part of it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, this choice of law does not take away any protection that the mandatory rules of your own country's law give you, where those rules apply. You may also be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date at the top when we do.
